My favourite feature of the next release are the changes that will be delivered with the Pipeline Manager Workspace (available from June 2021). These changes will benefit anyone who has to manage and update opportunities on a regular basis.

Favourite Update: Participant engagement-based communication for MS Teams online events

Name: Jonathan Small
Position
: Professional Services

One of my favourite features from the Wave 1 release is participant engagement-based communication for online events powered by Microsoft Teams.

As a marketer, you can create an event in Dynamics 365 Marketing and choose Microsoft Teams as the online streaming provider. When your audience attends the event, the check-in information is automatically created in Dynamics 365. Now, this information also has details on attendee engagement, including how long attendees stayed in the meeting.

Using the engagement information, you can create segments to follow up with attendees who started the online event but did not finish it.

You can use the segments to share an event summary and recording, as well as understand what kind of webinars they would like in the future. This allows you to better understand your audience and deliver a personalised follow-up experience.

Favourite Update: Power Automate Desktop inclusion with Windows

Name: Lee Harris
Position
: Professional Services

By making Power Automate Desktop available to anyone with Windows by default, it allows users to automate day to day repetitive tasks with ease. Users can record step by step manual processes which may take considerable amounts of time in their day and have Power Automate then repeat these processes for them without the need for human interaction.

Making Power Automate Desktop available to all users also gets them thinking about automation, which in turn can benefit the business as more users will begin to see the benefits of Power Automate and start to suggest, or even help develop, changes to improve existing business processes.
